If you are a victim of domestic abuse, or if allegations of domestic abuse have been made against you, we can help.

Domestic abuse can take many forms, and can be verbal, emotional, mental, sexual, financial or physical.  The violence and abuse can be actual or threatened and can happen once every so often, or on a regular basis.

If you are a victim of abuse from a connected person (such as your spouse or former partner), we can help you apply for protection with a Non-Molestation Order and/or an Occupation order.

Non-Molestation Order

This can prohibit a connected person from being abusive to you and/or your children. It can protect you from violence, threatened violence, harassment, intimidation and pestering. It can also create an exclusion zone, ensuring you and/or your children are safe, at home, school or your workplace.

Occupation Order

This can exclude a connected person from entering or returning to your home and regulate the occupation of your home.

There is no court fee for applying for a Non-Molestation or Occupation Order.

Both orders can be made on an urgent basis, as well as a without notice basis. If you are in immediate danger, you should contact the Police, we can however help you with getting emergency legal protection.

If you have been accused of domestic abuse and an application has been made against you for a Non-Molestation and/or Occupation order, we can advise you on your options. If you wish to defend the proceedings, we can help prepare your case and represent you at court.

We are experienced in dealing with domestic abuse matters in a sensitive and approachable manner, irrespective of whether you are the applicant or respondent in proceedings.
