London law firm becomes first to secure new home buying quality mark
London law firm PCM Solicitors LLP has become one of the first legal practices in England & Wales to secure the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation - the mark of excellence for the home buying process.
PCM Solicitors LLP, which is based in the City of London, underwent rigorous assessment by the Law Society in order to secure CQS status, which marks the firm out as meeting high standards in the residential conveyancing process.
Law Society President Linda Lee congratulated PCM Solicitors LLP on securing the new CQS status, pointing out that the firm would stand out to home buyers for its conveyancing services.
"PCM Solicitors LLP is one of the flag bearers of the CQS and their accreditation begins a new chapter in the home buying process. In what is already a crowded conveyancing market, CQS accredited legal practices will be clearly visible to any one looking to buy a home.
"For what is the most expensive purchase of anyone's lifetime, it is vital that they can rely on the quality service provision of CQS."
Paul Critchley, Senior Partner at PCM Solicitors LLP, said: "We are delighted The Law Society has chosen PCM Solicitors LLP as one of the first practices to achieve accreditation under the new Conveyancing Quality Scheme. We wholeheartedly welcome the launch of CQS and subscribe entirely to its core principles.
"PCM Solicitors LLP was established with a clear mission: to deliver solicitors' services of excellent quality, focused upon integrity, empathy, communication and value for money. We are proud to operate to the highest standards at all times, and are completely aligned with the CQS values.
"CQS accreditation provides greater assurance for our existing clients, both individuals and financial institutions, that in PCM Solicitors LLP they have solicitors of the highest quality and competence. Prospective clients seeing the CQS logo can instruct us in the certain knowledge that their transaction will be professionally, competently and faultlessly completed."
The scheme requires practices to undergo a strict assessment, compulsory training, self reporting, random audits and annual reviews in order to maintain CQS status. It is open only to members of the Law Society and to those who meet the demanding standards the scheme will set and has the support of the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Building Societies Association, and the Association of British Insurers.
